Autumn days in Yamba are some of my very favourite. Mornings and evenings are cool with perfectly mild day temperatures. This past Saturday was one of those days. The sun was shining and the air was peacefully still.  I arrived at Riverside Ranch to see that much work had been done the day before. The Ceremony and Reception locations were ready to go. The Bride and her Bridesmaids were tucked away in the Bridal Suite having their hair and make-up done by the team at Zig Zag Hair. The Groom arrived shortly after to put little Ruby down for a nap and to get himself ready. Everything To View More >>

Engagement sessions always bring an element of unknown. What do I do in front of the camera? Where do I look? What should I do with my hands? Should I look at the camera? It is also often the first time we are meeting our couples!  In general, the first fifteen minutes will be awkward. We try to set this as an expectation from the start! One of the most endearing things about where we live is that it is a beautiful balance of both country and coastal living. Having grown up in Sydney and spending much of my adult life there, this has taken some getting used to...in fact, I am still getting use to it after 5 years! That said, I am thankful to be able to offer this lifestyle to our growing children. I am thankful for our coastline! And I adore the calming hues of the ocean. I see so many of our couples drawn to the sea so it seemed fitting to design a coastal themed collection. So here it is, The Coastal Collection. To View More >>

One of the things we love about photography is that no two sessions are ever the same. That's because no two couples are ever the same! We hadn't met Tahlia and Nathaniel yet and it was so lovely to see them as they approached us from their car with warm smiles and confidence. This warmth and confidence continued through the entire session and we are pretty sure the images show it! These guys were pretty clear on two things: they love winter and they don't love the beach. They have chosen the stunning venue at Riverside Ranch, Yamba as their wedding venue. Owned by Fred and Chris Welsh, this To View More >>

Two weeks ago, in the midst of what feels like a crazy exhausting time in our lives, we were reminded why we love photographing weddings so much: it’s an entire day where we’re able to get completely lost in other people. It was such a gift to be able to spend this day putting other people first. To forget about anything and everything that’s happening in our world — and be invited into one of the most important days in someone else’s world. Interestingly, one of the first things Chris and Eliza asked when we had a brief moment together at the reception To View More >>
