Autumn days in Yamba are some of my very favourite. Mornings and evenings are cool with perfectly mild day temperatures. This past Saturday was one of those days. The sun was shining and the air was peacefully still.  I arrived at Riverside Ranch to see that much work had been done the day before. The Ceremony and Reception locations were ready to go. The Bride and her Bridesmaids were tucked away in the Bridal Suite having their hair and make-up done by the team at Zig Zag Hair. The Groom arrived shortly after to put little Ruby down for a nap and to get himself ready. Everything was coming To View More >>

This love story begins a few years ago in a place that we are all familiar with. With the smell of burgers and fries in the air, a sweet romance blossoms. A sweet baby boy is born, Jayden put a ring on it and a wedding needs to be planned. This is where I come in. I first met Caitlin shortly after I birthed my third child. They made contact with me only days after I had left hospital and it took me longer than normal to get back to them! In my sleep deprived state, we met up for a coffee to talk about the wedding which was to be a year away almost to the day.  Fast forward to this past weekend. To View More >>

Warm, joyful and authentic. After six years together, four years engaged and a ten month old daughter, Rebecca and Alex showed a comfort with each other that is such a privilege to capture. My challenge to you is to get to the end of this post without a smile on your face! Bec and Alex, you guys make six years together look good! To View More >>

The clouds came over and the winds were blowing. In the distance we could see a storm gathering over Yamba. There was a sense of urgency to get this show on the road! All of their loved ones were gathered to witness them making the committment to a lifetime partnership. Umbrellas were underneath seats...just in case. Last year, as we rescheduled their engagement session due to horrible weather, we joked about rain on the wedding day. Apparently there has been a pattern of poor weather for these two! Severe storms had been on the forecast all week. Thankfully, as they said "I do" we watched the To View More >>

On Saturday, after months of hard work, Riverside Ranch owners Chris and Fred Welsh welcomed the public to come and see their newest project, The Moondance Saloon. They have lovingly renovated their horse stable to be an all-weather, sound-proof wedding reception venue. Many of Yamba's local wedding vendors collaborated to style, cater and photograph this event which as you will see was full of good quality, colour and fun. Stunning styling by the talented Sarah from Ivy Lane and Co and Mel from Wildflower Wanderings. A sweet ceremony set-up under the fig tree by Yamba Weddings and Events. We did To View More >>

So this blog post has taken me way longer than I would have liked! School holidays and being in my last month of this pregnancy have been about all I could manage right now. Thankfully, I am sharing these before bubs arrives! Like the family photos that we posted earlier in 2017, these images were taken by local photographer Stephanie Flay. To View More >>

Engagement sessions always bring an element of unknown. What do I do in front of the camera? Where do I look? What should I do with my hands? Should I look at the camera? It is also often the first time we are meeting our couples!  In general, the first fifteen minutes will be awkward. We try to set this as an expectation from the start! Some of the things we ask can also feel a bit awkward. On camera, what feels weird tends to look great, o ur goal being to capture images where our couples look their best AND tell a story. We do this through posing and our use of light. With all of that said, To View More >>

One of the most endearing things about where we live is that it is a beautiful balance of both country and coastal living. Having grown up in Sydney and spending much of my adult life there, this has taken some getting used to...in fact, I am still getting use to it after 5 years! That said, I am thankful to be able to offer this lifestyle to our growing children. I am thankful for our coastline! And I adore the calming hues of the ocean. I see so many of our couples drawn to the sea so it seemed fitting to design a coastal themed collection. So here it is, The Coastal Collection. Designed To View More >>

Yep, I am a sucker for greenery and botanically themed anything! In fact, I generally only buy greenery when I visit a florist and every plant in our garden has been selected for the colour of its flower (white!) and its ability to be cut and brought inside.  Which brings us to our new collection! An elegant botanical design, the Vines Collection is inspired by an earthy palette. If you are aiming for a country wedding, this may be the collection for you. On the reverse of each design you will find a simple leafy pattern with a mixture of greenery. As with all of our collections, we have included To View More >>

Sometimes, I just crave a minimal approach to things. In this season of being a mum with small children what I crave most is slow - probably because life with little ones is never slow!  When designing and styling, I generally lean to a neutral colour palette. In fact, my home and wardrobe have been refined to this over the past few years - neutrals with a hint of green and blue thrown in. With that as a foundation, I then add some layers and texture to gently add some interest. You may even see me playing with this in my photography! So, when it came time to design The Minimal Collection, To View More >>
