Engagement sessions always bring an element of unknown. What do I do in front of the camera? Where do I look? What should I do with my hands? Should I look at the camera? It is also often the first time we are meeting our couples! 

In general, the first fifteen minutes will be awkward. We try to set this as an expectation from the start! Some of the things we ask can also feel a bit awkward. On camera, what feels weird tends to look great, our goal being to capture images where our couples look their best AND tell a story. We do this through posing and our use of light.

With all of that said, we walked away so thankful for our time with Bronte & Dylan! They were cheeky and fun and sometimes I had to remind myself to keep taking photos rather than laugh with them! We have so many favourite images from this session and we are really looking forward to capturing their wedding day next September!
